From the supplier: AES Corp.'s Series 7000 Long Range Wireless System is capable of transmitting and receiving alarm signals using long-range radio-frequency technology. It does not require telephone lines or high-powered receivers and uses intelligent, low-power tranceivers which can transmit signals at a distance of 8-10 miles over average terrain. It can directly transmit alarm signals to the central monitoring station, if it is within range. Should this not be possible, however, the signal will be passed on by similar AES systems in the area until it reaches the station.
