From the supplier: The Fair Housing Council of Greater Washington, which is based in Washington, DC, has filed suit against four insurance companies, charging them with housing discrimination. The companies allegedly refused to insure group homes for the mentally disabled or recovering addicts at standard residential rates but offered the insurance at more expensive commercial rates instead. The suit names the State Farm General Insurance Co, Allstate Corp, Grange Mutual Casualty, and the Republic Insurance Co.
